“As an organizational leader, many times we do not have the opportunities we would like to engage in thoughtful dialogue and thought with other professionals…this experience provided the chance to step back and reflect on bigger picture concepts both within our organization and the greater community.”
“Getting a chance to process and discuss both broad and more specific organizational and societal issues with other professionals was a welcome divergence from the routine…I enjoyed being welcomed at your building and peering into your world at the Foundation a bit more routinely. I will now always feel a little more comfortable at your place and with each of you.”
“Personally I am more aware of what the Ball Brothers Foundation represents and in general, what foundations’ work is about. These experiences will allow me to be a better ambassador for [Ball Brothers Foundation’s] work … I now take some time to work ‘on’ myself and [my organization]—not just working ‘in’ the grind of the details all the time. This has been a refreshing change for me.”
“It was encouraging to learn that foundations do want to provide more than just financial support and genuinely care about the grantees’ leadership, effectiveness, and longevity.”
