Approaching a Century

For Ball Brothers Foundation, 2025 was a year marked by both reflection and anticipation. It offered an opportunity to consider how a long-standing commitment to place continues to shape our work today—and into the future.

Although the Ball brothers and their families could not have predicted the many changes, challenges, and opportunities that would shape Muncie and the region in the decades following the establishment of the foundation, they believed deeply in the power of sustained, place-based philanthropy. 

As we stand on the threshold of our centennial, that belief continues to guide our work. We remain anchored in the same principles that have shaped the foundation since its earliest days—focusing our grantmaking on the core elements that make a community strong and desirable.
